we have water damage to our house.  the insurance has stated 'they will not cover our storm damage because its an aftermath of the flood.
.
* i need a letter from the insurance company stating why they will not cover the damage
.our house damage is mainly in the basement - heating furnace went out.  it was partially underwater. and came on by itself after the power outage.   that was scarey because this could have caused a fire.
.
* i need to take pictures

4 More Counties Approved For Disaster Relief - Nashville Weather ...May 4, 2010 ... FEMA can also offer money to those who have lost their jobs due to the flood. Victims can receive unemployment checks for 26 weeks. ...www.wsmv.com/weather/23444531/detail.html
.
Federal assistance is now available for Carroll, Cheatham, Crockett, Davidson, Decatur, Dyer, Fayette, Gibson, Hardeman, Haywood, Henderson, Hickman, Houston, Madison, McNairy, Montgomery, Obion, Perry, Shelby, Tipton and Williamson counties.

Additional counties Bredesen requested are expected to receive declaration in coming days.
FEMA officials said by Thursday afternoon about 8,500 people in Tennessee had registered with the federal organization to receive flood assistance.
Significant federal resources will now be available to those affected by this crisis. U.S. Rep. Jim Cooper has appointed two members of his staff to focus specifically on disaster assistance requests.
.
The first thing that affected residents should do is
call 1-800-621-FEMA or visit fema.gov.

“That will get the process going with the registration. From there, inspectors will be calling them to make an appointment to go see their damage and to make a determination based on that,” said Gracia Szczech of FEMA.
